Late September last year was the date and Marwell Hotel was the place for Vikki & Gordon’s wedding. I met these guys through Vikki’s Dad. He was best man at a wedding I photographed some while back, he was a guest of another wedding I covered also and has been like a walking advert for me in terms of recommending my photography.
I love seeing on a wedding morning how Brides & Grooms react in different ways. On this wedding morning Vikki was floating like she’d just had a 4-hour spa session and was so chilled. Gordon on the other hand was the complete opposite end of the scale. Sweaty palms, lots of pacing, heaps of pocket checking and clock watching better than a horologist. But once he was on his way through the meandering corridors of Marwell Hotel heading to the Ceremony room he seemed to relax a little (especially once he realised his mother-in-law-to-be was looking after the wedding rings and he hadn’t forgot them).
The day went without a hitch with perfect autumnal sunshine, great guests and a good time had by all (including the photographer).
