I love it when I wake on a wedding morning and the sun is fighting through the curtains and burning away any clouds that dare show their ugliness! So with the sun pumping out it’s stuff, I arrived at Jo’s place to find a little bit of wedding morning mayhem going on – hot looking bridesmaids hair all done, make up looking fab but still in jogging pants, an energised page boy and a flower girl with eyes that melt you inside out.
A little later, outside an alehouse in Botley, Darren and his groomsmen walked down the high street looking cool and focused until Best Man Phil started busting his killer dance moves outside a butchers shop and it turned into more Saturday Night Fever than Reservoir Dogs … but if you know Phil (and I’m glad to say I do a little) his moves are well recognised.
Rev Phil (a top Rev looking after a few Churches around Botley) did his ceremony thing, making it special, keeping it real and just long enough that nobody had numb-bum-needles and then it was over to Potter’s Heron Hotel at Ampfield to let the celebrations rock … and rock they did with DJ Chris West, the X-Factor finals on telly and a Funky Photo Booth to fill the guest book with.
